WATCH: Vogue‘s First Black Cover Girl Is Getting A TV Show

What’s the perfect reward for having a career full of boundary-shattering achievements? A reality show, of course! And that’s exactly what Beverly Johnson, who in August 1974 was the first black model to appear on the cover of Vogue, is getting at the end of next month.
Starting March 31, Johnson will star in the new show Beverly’s Full House on OWN, the Oprah Winfrey Network. The show features her opening up her home to her daughter Anansa, son-in-law David and granddaughter Ava in what we think will be some kind of examination of the American family dynamic during a recession. Or something. From the show’s description:
Despite sometimes overstepping her boundaries and at times having her intentions misunderstood, she loves her family and is determined to right past wrongs. Along the way, viewers will witness the drama, good times and bad times as Beverly’s traditional/non-traditional family comes together, bound by love, and learns to make it all work.

PHOTOS: Tavi Gevinson Channels Lana Del Rey At Rodarte

We’ve been trying our hardest to internet ignore Lana del Rey, but the buzz surrounding the surprisingly controversial artist is getting harder and harder to drown out. Earlier this week, Tavi Gevinson voiced her defense of del Rey to our friends at both Refinery29 and The Cut — and then yesterday she took in the Rodarte show what can only be described as a pitch perfect homage to the singer. Coincidence? We think not.
Here’s what Gevinson told The Cut:
“I don’t understand why it’s so horrible to create an image of yourself, because that’s what pop music is. Even the celebrities who seem to be really real and down to earth still separate themselves from their image, so I don’t get it. I feel like people think she’s threatening because she’s all these things that women aren’t allowed to be, so people are trying to find the quality that isn’t genuine, and want to take away credit that she, you know, made herself.”
And here’s what she told Refinery29:
“Well, you know, I kind of love Lana Del Rey, just because everyone hates her and I feel protective of her. I’m not a huge fan of her music, but I think she has been treated so unfairly and I feel really defensive on her behalf. I’m drawn to her. It’s a girl crush, and I don’t know why.”

PIPPA Middleton likes to date wealthy men!
According to a report from British newspaper The Sun, Pippa — whose sister is Prince William‘s wife Kate Middleton — is in a serious romance with wealthy earl George Percy, who is heir to one Britain’s richest and grandest dukedoms.
Percy — whose trust fund guarantees him an income of $500,000 each year — is completely besotted with Pippa and completely in love with her.
“It looks likely the Middleton sisters will be completing the double before too long,” a source said.
“It was like a shark circling its bait. Some people think she has always set out to do this.
“If Pippa ends up marrying Earl Percy, then it isn’t a bad return on Carole Middleton’s investment when she sent her two daughters to posh public schools.”
